We’re Going Green! Smarter Manuals, Smaller Footprint

At R.M. Young Company, we’re always looking for ways to improve—not just our products, but the way we do business. Today, we’re proud to share a change that’s simple in concept but significant in impact:

We’re going paperless with our product manuals.

That means you’ll no longer find printed manuals in your R.M. Young packages. Instead, each shipment will include a durable, double-sided QR card. Just scan the code, and you’ll have instant access to our new Product Manual Library—a clean, organized, always-updated collection of PDFs for every R.M. Young product.

Why the Change?

Each month, we print and ship around 1,500 manuals—that’s roughly 30,000 pages. Over the course of a year, that adds up to the equivalent of 36 full-grown trees.

And as our business continues to grow (thank you!), so does the environmental footprint of that paper usage. More demand means more paper. More paper means more trees cut down—and more habitats disrupted.

By moving to digital manuals, we’re making a conscious choice to reduce our impact, conserve resources, and support a healthier planet. This is one small step toward a larger goal: building a more sustainable future, together.

What This Means for You

Instead of thumbing through a printed booklet, you’ll be able to access the most current version of your product manual anytime, anywhere—with just a quick scan.

Here’s what to expect:

  • A simplified, searchable digital library
  • Always up-to-date manuals
  • Instant access from your computer or mobile device
  • Ability to download or print the PDF if you prefer a hard copy
  • Less clutter in your packaging—and on your workbench

A Shift That Matters

We know this is a small change—but with your help, it’s one that makes a difference. By reducing waste and embracing digital convenience, we’re helping protect our planet for the next generation of researchers, engineers, and explorers.

Thank you for being part of our journey and for supporting a better way forward.
