The YOUNG Marine Wind Monitor (model 05106) now includes ceramic bearings and a larger diameter stainless steel propeller shaft to further extend service life. The new features enhance the Marine Wind Monitor’s ability to withstand harsh marine environments subject to sustained high winds, salt spray and constant motion.
The Marine Wind Monitor retains its ability to accurately measure wind speeds exceeding 100 m/s (224 mph). The Marine Wind Monitor continues to offer real world features that demanding professionals expect including extremely low power consumption, field calibration capability and field serviceability. The new version may be visually differentiated by the “MA” tailfin decal. A kit is available to field upgrade previous versions of the Marine Wind Monitor.
